Australian hitmaker Sia apparently wants Bruno Mars or Maroon 5 to sing her new song.
The "Chandelier" hitmaker told radio station Nova that she wrote the song for her husband just before they got together. However, it wasn't "really my jam."
Hopefully, it won't be kept inside her archive of unheard songs because she's already courting two of the biggest chart-topping hitmakers today to bring it life.
"I'm trying to pitch that [track] to like, a Maroon 5 or a Bruno Mars. You'll hear it, it's called 'Step By Step,'" she said. "It's a good one."
Maroon 5 released their latest album, "V", last year. "Animals", "Maps", and "Sugar" made its way to the top of music charts worldwide and are still on the charts nowadays. If they were to take on "Step By Step", it would definitely become a hit.
On the other hand, Bruno Mars has yet to release his follow-up album to the worldwide phenomenon that was "Unorthodox Jukebox." It included hit tracks like "When I Was Your Man", "Treasure" and "Locked Out Of Heaven."
According to Billboard, his collaboration with Mark Ronson, "Uptown Funk", became one of the music chart's longest-leading number one song. It has been up the charts for 13 weeks and is still going strong.
Sia has written songs for other pop stars such as Beyonce ("Pretty Hurts"), Rihanna ("Diamonds"), Britney Spears ("Perfume") and more. On the other hand, both of the artists she's courting for "Step By Step" are well-known for creating and putting out their own music.
Who do you think will Sia get to sing her new song? Bruno Mars or Maroon 5?
The "Elastic Heart" singer still has one more album to put out before she goes back to her niche of writing hit songs for other pop stars, according to The Inquistr.
Wouldn't it be awesome to see Sia, Bruno Mars and Maroon 5 on stage for a collaboration though?
