Specs and features of the LG G4 have finally been revealed as the latest flagship goes official.
LG brings the LG G4 on stage at its event in New York today. As it was previously teased the LG G4 sports leather back covering and plastic back plates options.
It pulls off a 5.5-inch screen display which renders a quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution with quantum LCD technology- the first smartphone to feature such display. This technology boasts a better color reproduction as it offers higher brightness and contrast among other phones, Tech Crunch reported.
"We like to make it very personalized," said Jung Hoon Lee, director in charge of the look of the G4. "The phone is not just a product, it's a life companion." (via CNET)
Underneath, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit chipset and packs a hexa-core processor in a dual-core Cortex-A57 and quad-core Cortex-A53 arrangement, GSM Arena added.
''LG claims that it has worked closely with Qualcomm in customizing the SoC and has achieved a level of performance higher than the Exynos 7420 in daily tasks,'' GSM Arena wrote.
The processor is coupled with a 3GB of RAM and an onboard 32GB internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD. It also features a removable 3000mAh battery and the phone supports wireless charging, but a dedicated back cover should be purchased to be able to use this feature.
Camera-wise, the LG G4 may have the best camera in smartphones today. It features a 16MP sensor with f 1.8 lens which gathers 11 percent more light than of Samsung Galaxy S6. Moreover, its rear camera can shoot 104MP Panaroma shots, while its front camera has an 8MP camera which has the ability to shoot videos 2160p like the main camera.
Other notable features include LTE-Advanced support, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi,Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. (via BGR)
As for its release date, the LG G4 will be first available on its homeland tomorrow, while US release is expected to be on the last week of May or first week of June.
