Like fans who are currently lamenting Konami's cancellation of the highly anticipated "Silent Hills" game, Norman Reedus, who's supposed to play the lead character, expressed his disappointment as well.
"Super bummed about this was really looking forward to it," "The Walking Dead" star posted on Twitter.
Again like most fans who waited for years for the game to finally arrive in PS4 consoles, he hasn't lost hope that "Silent Hills" would still push through.
"Hopefully it'll come back around. Sorry everyone," he added.
Konami who recently parted ways with game designer Hideo Kojima released an official statement about "Silent Hills" cancellation, Kotaku reported.
"Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic 'Silent Hills' project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued.
In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements."
Indeed the announcement was completely different from what Hideo Kojima previously told WatifGaming.
"Development is cycling between either allowing players to choose to play the whole game in first person or third person, or keeping it fixed third person and having some areas be first person only," he explained. "Either way we want to do something with first person. The game will not be out more than likely until 2016, lots of time left."
While either Konami or Hideo Kojima have yet to fully explain the reason of their split, IGN claimed that "Silent Hills" is "The true victim in this feud is Silent Hill... a series in desperate need of reinvention as the modern horror landscape flows and morphs around it."
