Following the huge box office success of Michael Bay's live-action "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," a sequel is reportedly set for a June 3, 2016 release date is actively gearing up.
Variety exclusively reported that the follow up movie has already found its new villain.
Brian Tee, whose role in Hugh Jackman's "Wolverine" film as Noburo Mori has reportedly been confirmed to play Shredder as replacement to Tohoru Masamune.
Furthermore, the official title to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" sequel has reportedly been revealed by L.A. Clippers guard JJ Redick during an interview with "The Lowe Post" podcast, Den of Geek reported.
"Myself, Austin Rivers, Matt Barnes, Spencer Hawes, and DeAndre Jordan," Redick teased of his appearance in in the movie. "Later this afternoon, the five of us, along with five Knicks players are going to be back at MSG and we're going to be filming a scene for the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' sequel, 'Half Shell.'"
Upon realizing that he accidentally revealed the title the 30-year-old cager quickly said, "I'm probably going to get in trouble."
In addition to the NBA star, the upcoming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" sequel is reportedly going to feature a cameo from Victoria's Secret Angel, Alessandra Ambrosio, The Hollywood Reported reported.
"Ambrosia and 'TMNT' star Will Arnett were photographed kissing at a New York Knicks game on March 25. But the lip-lock didn't signal a new couple. Instead, the pair were filming a scene for the sequel. Ambrosia will play herself and the love interest of Arnett's character in the film," the entertainment site reported.
While new castings have been revealed, Megan Fox, who starred as April O'Neil from the first installment of the franchise is rumored to be dropped in the sequel.
In addition to being quiet, the 28-year-old actress reportedly has no knowledge of the sequel yet, as seen in her interview with Screen Rant.
"Right now there is no real plan for a second one, I think we'll know very soon though and I'll definitely do it if they will have me. This turned out really well, way better than I could have ever hoped."
While it's not clear in Michael Bay would drop the story of April O'Neil for "TMNT 2," it's clear that Fox had expressed her intention to return if asked.
Dave Green has replaced Jonathan Liebsman to direct the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" sequel.
Michael Bay with his partner Platinum Dunes will produce the film, while Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec are both back to pen and executive produce the sequel
