Radiohead To Finally Release A New Album Following Thom Yorke's Solo Stint? Band Rehearsing For New Songs In Studio

| By

After four years of hiatus will Radiohead finally release a new album this year?

Now that Thom Yorke is done with his solo project NME claimed that the band's tracks for its new record is "coming along nicely."

However, the publication reported that instead of releasing its new album this year, Radiohead would probably launch it next year.

And like their successful 2011 album, "The Kings of Limbs," Thom Yorke and the rest of the band members are expected to work on great tracks as a follow up.

While Yorke has yet to give out details, drummer Philip Selway revealed in a magazine interview with NME that Radiohead is indeed working on recordings for its new album.

"It's all coming along nicely," Selway said in his February interview. "We worked throughout the autumn up to just before Christmas, and now we're just taking some time away for other projects."

"We'll get back to it in March and we'll make an assessment of where we are then, but we've been excited about what we've been doing so far. It's by no means finished yet, so we've got a way to go. It's been a productive time though."

While the new album is confirmed to be in the works, Selway refused to reveal as to when the release date would be, making fans wonder if Radiohead is going to surprise fans with the announcement.

"I wouldn't want to start to predict that kind of thing in a Radiohead schedule because you can find yourself six months down the line saying 'I wish I hadn't have said that actually,'" Selway admitted.
