Glamberts have been waiting excitedly for Adam Lambert's "Ghost Town" music video as well as the rest of his new album ever since the Grammy-nominated singer started dropping hints about it some months ago.
He teased the new single through an Instagram clip before officially dropping the song on April 21. Although the music video wasn't released, Lambert did listen to his fans' pleas.
The acting Queen frontman treated Glamberts to a lyric video of his "hauntingly catchy" new track. Following the said release, Lambert gave his followers a peek into the song's actual music video.
He posted a photo on Twitter which looked like a screenshot of the highly anticipated clip. The upcoming video earned more excitement when the "Trespassing" singer revealed that famed director Hype Williams signed on to the production.
"The Ghost Town Video is directed by @HypeWilliams Coming Soon..." the 33-year-old "American Idol" alum shared on the microblogging site.
Williams helmed videos of various famous singers such as Beyonce, Missy Elliot, Pharrell Williams, and Jennifer Lopez according to Popcrush.
Produced by Max Martin, Adam Lambert's "Ghost Town" received raving early reviews prior to its official release. Now that the general public has heard the song, did it live up to the anticipation?
It looks like the new track was received very warmly by Glamberts.
According to The Examiner, Lambert's new album, "The Original High" rose right up to number one on the iTunes pop chart right after "Ghost Town" was released. Fans who waited patiently for new material from the "For Your Entertainment" singer, quickly pre-ordered the album which will be released on June 16.
The publication further reported that public response to the song has been "hugely positive."
Meanwhile, he told Billboard that he would go on tour "if people like this record!" He most recently toured with legendary rock group Queen as frontman. On the other hand, he last met fans as a solo artist on stage in 2009 for his debut album, "For Your Entertainment."
