According to earlier "Hannibal" season 3 spoiler, the premiere episode of the third run of the horror show will see Mads Mikkelsen's Dr. Lecter and Gillian Anderson's Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier living a cozy life in Italy.
There, they are pretending as husband and wife while the sophisticated cannibal is looking for a prey. However, that might not be everything that people will get from the pilot episode of the new season. Fannibals must get ready because they will be treated to a James Bond chasing and action right from the first few minutes.
"I love Ridley Scott's Hannibal, I just think it's such a fun, gruesome movie that kind of harkens back to Hammer films, and it's Hannibal as James Bond," series creator Bryan Fuller told Digital Spy when asked for more "Hannibal" season 3 spoiler regarding his show's premiere.
"There's qualities of that that we wanted to bring to the first chapter of the third season, which is the Italy-based material."
"Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode will be called "Antipasto" and while it will feature the two doctors for most of the time, there will also be a scene where Hannibal Lecter will miss his nemesis Will Graham (Hugh Dancy).
"In that first episode all about Bedelia and Hannibal, there's just a hint of 'Wouldn't this be better if it were me and Will Graham?' in terms of Hannibal thinking that, and what he misses. Because Bedelia will always be Hannibal's psychiatrist, she'll never be necessarily as intimate and passionate in her relationship with Hannibal as Will and Hannibal are."
The airing of "Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode was moved to June 4 instead of April and according to Bryan Fuller, in an interview with the same website a few days ago, this move was made to further polish each episode.
"And I'd been squawking about that for four months, saying we're in trouble, and then finally after four months we realised where we were and had to push back, because the show wasn't done," he said.
"I don't mind a summer schedule at all, and it actually allowed us to fix our mistakes, of trying to simplify how we were producing the show, which was misguided."
