Dunkin' Donuts announced Tuesday that the St. Louis, Missouri will see three new franchise locations opening up over the next couple of years.
According to a press release, all three will be run by the same partnership, new franchisees Dean Kreher and Ted Pierce. The first Dunkin' Donuts is set to open in 2013 and the others by 2015.
"We are excited to expand Dunkin' Donuts' presence in St. Louis and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," said Dean Kreher, Dunkin' Donuts Franchisee in the statement. "We have a passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to the opening of our Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the years to come."
Kreher also owns two Subway restaurants and owns and operates WinDoor Windows in Swansea, Ill, according to Bizjournals.
Franchise opportunities are still available in Missouri including in Joplin, Springfield, Columbia and Jefferson City. To drive its expansion efforts, Dunkin' Donuts has aligned its strategy to support the growth opportunities and consumer needs of individual markets. As a result, the company continues to expand with single and multi-unit opportunities with no minimum unit requirements.
Dunkin' Donuts is the 9th largest franchise in the world. There are 10,100 stores open worldwide.
According to the report, Kreher said a new Dunkin' Donuts costs about $500,000 to $750,000 to open and the minimum resource requirements for a single unit development commitment include liquid assets of $250,000 and a net worth of $500,000.
