Jamie Dornan Leaving 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Sequel Following Director Sam Taylor-Johnson's Exit? Wife Amelia Warner Wants Him Out Of The BDSM Movie

| By

Now that director Sam Taylor-Johnson is confirmed to have exited from the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie sequel, rumor has it that male lead star Jamie Dornan will follow suit.

After his successful portrayal of Christian Grey, new reports claim that the 32-year-old Northern Irish actor is no longer coming back to reprise his role following the request of her actress wife, Amelia Warner.

Warner, who haven't seen the movie according to Movie Pilot has reportedly asked Dornan to drop the project following all the controversies it caused to him, which apparently affected her as well.

However, Dornan has apparently convinced his wife to allow him to do the sequel because of the popularity it brought to his career.

"Jamie said the movie would skyrocket his career, a source told Australian magazine NW He tried to assure Amelia nothing would change but women all over the world now lust after Jamie. She hasn't seen the film and I don't think she will to be honest."

Furthermore, reps of the star told ABC News that Dornan is more than willing to come back and reprise his role as Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.

"Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film."

But before Universal Pictures would get to move forward, they would need to find a replacement to director Sam Taylor-Johnson who reportedly dropped the sequel following altercation with auther E.L. James.

"Directing Fifty Shades Of Grey has been an intense and incredible journey for which I am hugely grateful," the 48-year-old director confirmed her exit in an official statement exclusively sent to Deadline.

"I have Universal to thank for that. I forged close and lasting relationships with the cast, producers and crew and most especially, with Dakota and Jamie. While I will not be returning to direct the sequels, I wish nothing but success to whosoever takes on the exciting challenges of films two and three."

Apparently Taylor-Johnson and E.L. James had a hard time working together.

"Sam won't be back for the 'Fifty Shades' sequels. She wants out and Universal knows that's the right decision," an alleged "senior film insider" revealed to The Sun.

"Her relationship with Erika has become absolutely toxic - they despise each other and blame each other for the problems with the film."

The best selling author's desire to have majority of control over the movie apparently "made life on set completely impossible for Sam."

Shooting "the sex scenes in the film" were reportedly stressful for Taylor-Johnson as James allegedly wanted Sam "to be loyal to the book and much more explicit."

"But Sam pushed back because she wanted the movie to be more than just a collection of S&M scenes."

"Directors usually have the ultimate control over what goes on in a movie, but in this case Erica was questioning literally the most minor things," the source further explained.

"She was able to have the final say over the cast, the costumes and, crucially, the script. They're both very powerful and assured women so there was clash after clash after clash."
