New ‘Heroes Reborn’ Remake Not Interesting Enough For Milo Ventimiglia? ‘Gotham’ Baddie ‘Closed A Chapter’ When Original Ended

| By

When producers announced the upcoming "Heroes Reborn" remake, fans of the cult classic "Heroes" series hoped for a reunion of the original cast. However, that's won't be the case.

Most of the fan favorites have opted not to be part of the 13-episode mini-series. Milo Ventimiglia was the one of the first original stars who decided not bring to empath Peter Petrelli back to the small screen.

Speculations about the reason why he wasn't returning started circulating. One rumor said that he didn't want to work with his ex-girlfriend, Hayden Panettiere. But what exactly is the real score?

According to a phone interview with the Associated Press, he already closed that chapter of his life when "Heroes" ended five years ago. He also admitted that he's actually not curious about the new series.

"It's like, are you ever curious about your ex-relationships? Not really," he reportedly said. "Hopefully. Hopefully people can let you leave them in the past and not everybody's reminding you about that that girl you used to date."

Of course, being one of the most important characters in "Heroes," he really can't get away from the memorable character.

He also revealed that he decided not to reprise his role because he "wasn't invited" and he already "grew up" and "grew out of that."

"Had we still been making the show for the last five years it would be a different story," he added. "The truth is the show got canceled. It wasn't even that the show ended. The show got canceled."

He also told Zap2It that although the Petrellis might be mentioned in the "Heroes Reborn" remake, he's very positive that he won't be "revisiting."

"Just not gonna happen," he emphasized, crushing all kinds of fans' hopes that Peter Petrelli could still make an appearance in the reboot.

"Now that the show is coming back, I think it's going to be interesting to see how the fans react to what is not what they had before. They may not be completely satiated without all the characters they fell in love with," he previously told People Magazine as well.

Meanwhile, original cast members Jack Coleman, Masi Oka and Jimmy Jean-Louis will be joining the "Heroes Reborn" remake.
