The new trailer of "Fantastic Four" gave viewers a first glimpse of Doctor Doom and Toby Kebbell's transformation.
There isn't any trace of the "RocknRolla" heartthrob in his new character. The scary villain was originally played by Joseph Culp in the 1994 film. The role was passed on to Julian McMahon in the 2005 reboot and 2007 sequel.
After more than eight years, the 32-year-old British actor was chosen to portray Doctor Doom. During an interview with the Collider, Toby Kebbell revealed the origin of his character.
"He's Victor Domashev, not Victor Von Doom in our story. And I'm sure I'll be sent to jail for telling you that," he teased. "I'm a programmer. Very anti-social programmer. And on blogging sites I'm 'Doom'."
Apart from Toby Kebbell, the new trailer of "Fantastic Four" also revealed the powers of the four superheroes. The reboot stars Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch, and Jamie Bell as The Thing.
According to Hollywood Life, the team was able to tap into dimensional travel, but things went wrong and their lives were forever changed. They now need to fight Doctor Doom and stop him from destroying the world.
In a separate report, Michael B. Jordan allegedly slammed Jimmy Kimmel for his racial comment. The host asked the 28-year-old actor what he thinks about having a white sister since he is black. "Kate Mara, I don't know if you know this, is a white person," the host informed his guest.
"I do know that," he said. "I'm pretty sure there's white people here with other ethnicities, brothers and sisters. It doesn't mean biological. It's the world that we live in... It's one of the things I don't like drawing attention to," Michael added.
