Will 'Avengers' Cast Jeremy Renner Leave The Franchise? Spoilers Ahead! Hawkeye To Retire At The End Of 'Age Of Ultron'

| By

It's not until May 1, when U.S. fans get to see "Avengers: Age of Ultron" in theaters, but in some parts of Asia, the movie has already debuted.

Warning this article contains spoilers!

Moving on, while the film expectedly featured action-packed scenes from the superhero characters, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk and Hawkeye, a surprising story plot was delved into.

While the character of Jeremy Renner in "Avengers" has been known to be just a part of an ensemble rather than a standalone charcter, "Age of Ultron" surprisingly showed the story of the man behind the bow and arrow.

When the team was in dispair after they've been badly hit by Scarlet Witch's spell and they have no where to go since Ultron is taking over the internet, Hawkeye offered his home as their safety nest.

Surprisingly, Hawkeye has a family, a wife who's pregnant, a daughter and a son. While it's been very subtle, the movie kind of featured Hawkeye's desire to have a peaceful and quiet life with his family, away from all the troubles of being an Avenger.

And before the battle with Ultron started, Hawkeye had a talk with his wife where he promised that it would be the last for him and he will safely return back home.

And as they succesfully defeated Ultron, the rest of the team went on their separate ways as Hawkeye returned to his loving wife and children. Only Captain America, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Falcon and War Machine were left at the Avengers headquarters.

Will the "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" be the last for Jeremy Renner as Hakweye?

While it hasn't been revealed yet, it's worth noting that Renner has been rumored to be bringing his character hawkeye to Cap's world in "Captain America: Civil War."

During an interview with MTV, the "Avengers" cast mentioned "Captain America 3," when asked if he's considering a standalone film for his character Hawkeye.

"I'm happy to be the ensemble," Renner assured. "I'm not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means."

Adding, "I think he's a utility guy that can bounce around into other people's universes a little bit, especially like 'Cap 3.'"
