Recent "Revenge" season 4 episode guide talks about friends of Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke's (Emily VanCamp) thinking the lead character might have gone too far with his revenge-y acts.
This could be related to that shocking scene in the last episode wherein a mansion exploded and inside it was Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe), Amanda's long-time nemesis.
In the last few episodes, Emily out herself as the real Amanda Clarke and eventually revealed Victoria as her main enemy through the years. The former queen of Hamptons is not to be outdone as she also has a plan to bring down Emily.
However, based on that burning house scene, it seems their feud will end permanently. Is Victoria really dead? Will people read about her alive and kicking in the next "Revenge" season 4 episode guides?
Madeleine Stowe sat down with the Entertainment Weekly shortly after that shocking "Revenge" season 4 episode and her answer will surely sadden fans.
"Here's the answer: I'm not returning to Revenge for another season," Stowe said when asked to clear what really happened in the last episode.
"You will see her in flashbacks. I think that anybody who has really, really watched the show and who really knows Victoria would know that she's pretty much had a death wish. Victoria has died."
Madeleine Stowe also shared a "Revenge" season 4 episode guide for the remaining weeks, including her character appearing in flashbacks.
"You'll see her in flashback in the coming episodes, and you'll get an understanding for why she did what she did from a more macro standpoint. There are a couple of revelations, if they use them. But it goes very far back and very deep. At the end of this episode, you'll see what predated that, even the day or so up to this explosion that made Victoria take such radical action."
