Microsoft has been reportedly on the works of four innovative Windows 10 phones that are expected to arrive Q2 or Q3 of 2015 and some specs and features of these upcoming smartphones have leaked online, Phone Arena reported.
According to a source of Nokia Power User , the upcoming Lumia 940 may sport a 5.2inch screen display, while its larger sibling might pull off a 5.7inch.
''We hear that the rear camera sensor may swell to 24-25 MP from current 20 MP on Lumia 930. They will certainly feature a 5 MP or even higher MP FFC. We also hear some cool features like 3D-interaction, Iris scanner and native Pen support as part of the package,'' a source told Nokia Power User.
''We know that Windows 10 for Phones will bring support for Hexa-core and Octa-core processors. We don't have confirmed info about processor and display resolution as of now but Microsoft may go for bleeding-edge specs, we hear.''
The source continued that the first mid-range phone will feature a 5-inch display, Dual-Sim support, 13-14MP Pureview rear camera and 5MP selfie snapper. As for its specs it will be similar as the Microsoft Lumia 830 or "slightly modified design."
While the second Lumia might have a larger display of 5.5inch or up to 5.7-inch. It may pack a similar camera spec as the first mid-range phone, though it might be inferior as it won't be a Pureview camera.
Other rumored specs of the Lumia 940 include a docking station, but details about this feature is limited. Fudzilla assumed that it can be connected as an accessory, or will work as a standalone computer like the Motorola Atrix.
As per previous leaks, the Lumia 940 may run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or Snapdragon 810.
