‘Mission Impossible 5’ Star Got Scared Of His Stunt? Tom Cruise Revealed That He Almost Got Into An Accident! ‘It Was A Stressful Experience’

Tom Cruise is known for doing his own stunts in his films including "Mission Impossible 5."

Fans think that he is very brave for doing that since not many actors are willing to take a risk to shoot their own stunts. In the trailer of "Mission: Impossible - Rouge Nation", there was one heart-stopping scene that showed the 52-year-old actor hanging outside a military aircraft.

He was asking Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) to open the door, but the Airbus suddenly took off which left Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) dangling outside. During an interview with Los Angeles Times, Christopher McQuarrie shared his experience shooting that scene.

"I walked out of the aircraft just before we were going to take off, and Tom was hanging on the back and it was deafening and cold and there was a noxious wave of exhaust," the director said. "And I thought, 'This must be what hell is like.'"

Tom Cruise was lightly harnessed on the aircraft so there's a possibility that he may get into an accident.

"I was actually scared shitless," the Hollywood hunk admitted to the crowd at CinemaCon as reported by Sydney Morning Herald. "I was in a harness, on my side, that was kind of loose so you can see the vibration of my body against the plane," he revealed.

According to the website, the "Mission Impossible 5" star performed the stunt eight times at 5000 feet up in the air and admitted that he almost got into an accident during the second take.

"I got hit by just a little particle," Cruise admitted. "I literally thought it broke my ribs."

Thankfully, the actor's stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood and his team did a great job in constructing a plan to limit the risk which involved bird-spotting.

"I'm not going to lie - it was a stressful experience," he confessed. "If anything happened I'd never work again - and that would be the least of our problems."

Watch out for Tom Cruise's death defying scene when "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" hits the big screen on July 31, 2015.
