After dating for eight months, Ariana Grande and Big Sean finally confirmed their break up.
"They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends," their reps told Us Weekly. "We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time."
There were rumors that the reason for their split up is Justin Bieber. According to TMZ, the Canadian bad boy got a little handsy with the 21-year-old pop princess during her concert in Los Angeles a few weeks ago.
The website also reported that Ariana quickly disentangled herself from Justin, but Big Sean had already seen what happened. So the 27-year-old rapper allegedly threatened the YouTube sensation on social media.
"This kid is about to learn not to touch my girl like that. Beliebe that," he wrote on Twitter. However, he later on deleted his post.
In a separate report, Big Sean's rep revealed that the Twitter post is fake. They claimed that both artists are good friends; and he is also in good terms with his girlfriend. Since Justin Bieber isn't the reason for Ariana Grande and Big Sean's break up, then what could have caused their split up?
Their reps revealed the real reason for their split up is their work.
"They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year," an insider told Us Weekly. Ariana will be traveling all over Asia, Europe, and North America for her Honeymoon Tour until October 15, 2015. Big Sean, on the other hand, will be touring until August 29, 2015.
According to Hollywood Life, Big Sean and Ariana Grande have split up for a few weeks, and were able to keep things quiet until now. Before going their separate ways, the former Nickelodeon star was writing new love songs about her boyfriend. Maybe she'll take the Taylor Swift route in her songwriting soon.
