Did 'Avengers' Cast Jeremy Renner Reject 'Thor: Ragnarok' Because Of His Appearance In 'Captain America: Civil War?'

| By

Speculations about "Avengers" cast Jeremy Renner joining the latest installment of "Captain America" franchise have been rampant.

And while there has been no direct or official announcement yet, VC Post reported that the 44-year-old actor "ditched the third installment of the Thor franchise to be able to film for the other Marvel movie."

The "Marvel movie" the publication was referring to is said to be "Captain America: Civil War."

While he has yet to confirm his appearance on Chris Evan's upcoming "Captain America" movie, he has been teasing fans of his involvement during interviews.

During an interview with MTV, the "Avengers" cast mentioned "Captain America 3," when asked if he's considering a standalone film for his character Hawkeye.

"I'm happy to be the ensemble," Renner assured. "I'm not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means."

Adding, "I think he's a utility guy that can bounce around into other people's universes a little bit, especially like 'Cap 3.'"

And during an interview with Collider, "Avengers" cast member Jeremy Renner had once again hinted his involvement with "Captain America: Civil War" again.

"There are rumblings of 'Captain America 3.' I don't know what's going to happen there. I've got to find the time, man (laughs). I'm trying to stay home and I can't," he answered when asked about how he finds time in his busy schedule.

If true, Renner would reunite with his "Avengers" co-stars, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson who are all appearing in "Captain America: Civil War."
