There have been rumors coming out that the solo movie of "Aquaman" may feature Wonder Woman. DC and Warner Bros. are reportedly planning to produce a shared universe with their superhero movies just like Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Venture Capital Post, they already did that with "Dracula Untold" in 2014 and now they are doing the same thing with "Batman V Superman." Many fans were thrilled when they found out that two of the most popular superheroes in DC Comics will be headlining one movie. The Zack Snyder film will star Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.
Also confirmed to appear in the 2016 film are Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. There have been reports that the two characters will each have their own solo movie.
"Aquaman" is scheduled for release on July 27, 2018 while "Wonder Woman" will hit the theaters on June 23, 2017.
After appearing in "Batman V Superman", the two superheroes will join the other characters in "The Justice League Part One" on November 17, 2017. Based on new reports, Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot may team up again in the solo movie of "Aquaman."
The rumors started when they revealed the costumes of Diana Prince.
"For the #WonderWoman standalone solo film shooting this fall, they are designing SIX new looks for Diana including a DIVE SUIT & the more classic standard costume!" fanboy journalist Umberto Gonzales wrote on Instagram.
Will she be wearing that when she joins Arthur Curry under the sea?
There are no announcements yet from Warner Bros. and DC regarding the appearance of other superheroes in "Aquaman," but Wonder Woman is most likely to be included in it. According to Cinema Blend, Gal Gadot's character may be the only female superhero to be seen in almost all DC movies. She is like the DC counterpart of Marvel's Black Widow, which is played by Scarlett Johansson.
