Adam Lambert's new song, "Ghost Town," was teased late last month, surprising and exciting Glamberts all over the world. He posted a snippet of the song on Instagram, along with a video of himself in black and white.
This was followed by several other teasers of the anticipated new song.
With only a couple of days left before its official release, "Ghost Town" has been revelling in "glowing" early reviews.
Yahoo Music called the new tune "hauntingly catchy" with its "throwback house vibe". The review also insisted that Adam Lambert's new song has "major song-of-the-summer potential".
Furthermore, the publication speculated that the "American Idol" alum's new album, "The Original High" could be reminiscent of 90s music.
On the other hand, Digital Spy said that the new song is "marginally darker" but it would still become a hit thanks to its "massive earworm hook".
"Saw all of the Saints lock up the gates/ I could not enter/ Walked into the flames, called out your name/ But there was no answer," Yahoo shared some of the lyrics from the new song. "And now I know my heart is a ghost town."
Although it's different from past Adam Lambert hits, the track is still "compelling."
"Its style is quintessentially Adam; brooding, pulsating and compelling in equal measure. It may hear him mourn his empty heart, but there's enough here to get everyone else's pumping faster," the article concluded.
MTV seconded Digital Spy's observation, that the new potential club banger has a "dark message shrouded in uptempo beats."
"An enchanting, dramatic beat ... while they influence, they don't overbear but it's clear Adam wants us up on our feet," MTV praised the Max Martin-produced song.
Adam Lambert's new song, "Ghost Town" will officially come out on April 21. How excited are you for the new track?
