The Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight is just a few weeks away.
After more than half a decade of waiting, boxing and non-boxing fans will finally get to see two of the most gifted boxers of recent generation to slug it out in the boxing ring.
Two weeks, that is really close. If everything falls into place, the fight of the century will definitely unfold. Unless, someone from the two camps back out, then the public will be deprived of this epic fight forever.
According to future Hall of Famer Freddie Roach, he will not be surprised if the Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight gets canceled because Pretty Boy decided to back out. Roach, who is the long-time trainer of Manny Pacquiao, is skeptical about Mayweather's interest in fighting the Filipino fighter.
"I don't believe that Floyd ever wanted this fight, he was forced to take it by the public and the media. I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd pulled out now," Roach said according to a report by Boxing News 24.
Just a few days ago, reports have it that the Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight might be the last time people will see Pretty Boy in the boxing ring as the multi-titled boxer revealed he is no longer enjoying the sport.
"No. I don't enjoy it like I once did," said Mayweather, boxing's No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter, a champion in five weight divisions. His counterpart, Pacman, won in eight divisions.
"It is at a point where it is business. It is my job. I go to the gym. I train. I know what I have to do," he added. "There was a time when it was fun but I am to a point now where I am really over all of that stuff."
If Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight gets called off, that would definitely a disgrace to the sport.
