This week's "American Idol" season 14 episode had some awkward drama involving one contestant and a judge.
After performing Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way," soul singer Quentin Alexander pouted at Ryan Seacrest and started complaining about his close friends being in the bottom two.
"This sucks. We've got two of the best vocalists -- my best friend is sitting over there," looking pissed off at the outcome of the show that night. "This whole thing is whack, but I'm going to shut up right now."
That "American Idol" season 14 episode found Rayvon Owen and Joey Cooke's chairs not lighting up. Owen was saved by fans but Cooke had to go home by the end of the night.
He was about to get off the stage to prepare for his next song when Harry Connick, Jr. called him back with a stony look on his face.
"Quentin, if it's that whack, you can always go home, because 'Idol' is paying a lot of money to give you this experience," the New Orleans native called the pouting contender out. "To say that to the hand that is feeding you is highly disrespectful."
The 21-year-old fashion-forward contestant went back on stage to set Connick straight, making some tension build up in the studio on live television.
He clarified that he was referring to his personal feelings about the whole situation. According to Zap2It, however, there was still some "angry air" hanging around the contestant and judge even after Ryan Seacrest tried to wrap up the misunderstanding.
Meanwhile, USA Today reported that Twitter seemed to be siding with Harry Connick, Jr.
"Quentin just screwed himself. #idol," a Twitter user posted following the spat.
"Quentin just bit the hand that feeds him. Bye Bye. There is no room for that attitude, You are not all that anyway," another posted on the microblogging website.
On the other hand, some people watching the "American Idol" season 14 episode were more understanding, feeling quite bad for Alexander.
