Anne Hathaway is debuting her singing skills in her latest movie "Les Miserables" based on the popular Broadway production.
The film, based on the stage musical that is itself adapted from Victor Hugo's 19th-century novel, stars Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe.
A new trailer for "Les Miserables" has been released which shows Anne Hathaway's character Fantine as she sings "I Dreamed a Dream." It also offers a look at Hugh Jackman's Jean Valjean and Russell Crowe's Inspector Javert.
Hathaway recently starred as Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises." Her other film credits include "Rachel Getting Married," ''Love and Other Drugs" and "The Princess Diaries."
The movie is directed by Tom Hooper who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director for 2011's "The King's Speech." Although he did not win, "The King's Speech" took home the award for Best Picture.
Other "Les Miserables" co-stars include Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks, Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter.
Meanwhile, Hathaway is reportedly in talks to tackle the female lead role in Spielberg's long-gestating sci-fier 'Robopocalypse', which also eyes the 'Thor' actor as the male lead, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Hathaway's discussions are still in early stage while Hemsworth has been courted to join the project since July. Details of what characters Hathaway and Hemsworth will play are still scarce for now.
