Indian Dad Plans Selling His Kidneys To Fund Medical Treatment For His Three Kids, Who Are Among The World’s Obese Children

| By

Rameshbhai Nandwana, father of three obese children has been reportedly planning to sell his kidneys to fund medical treatment for his children as he is 'terrified' that his children might die because of "major health issues."

"Sisters Yogita Rameshbhai Nandwana, and Anisha, three, and their 18-month-old brother Harsh, are among the world's heaviest young children. Weighing 5st 5lbs (34kg), 7st 8lbs (48kg) and 2st 5lbs (15kg) respectively," The Daily Mail reported.

Metro added that the children cannot walk due to their morbidly excessive weight and the food they consume in a week is enough to feed two families in a month.

Their mother Pragna Ben describes her children "constantly hungry" and "demand food all the time" so she has to spend all day cooking food for the three.

She also added that she only weighs around 40kgs and it is impossible for her to carry her children around. As a result they are 'restricted in one place' and uses trolley to pull the children around.

"All they do all day is eat and play and giggle with each other," Pragna continued.

"I want my daughters to get an education and play like other kids. I want them to have a life. This is no life."

Meanwhile, Rameshbai who only earns Rs 3000 a month told the Daily Mail that he "cannot leave them starving" so he borrows money to relatives and friends and spends Rs 10,000 a month for food.

"Little Harsh gulps down eight glasses of milk a day, his sisters Yogita and Anisha devour eight chapatis (Indian bread), 2kg of rice and three bowls of broth, six packets of crisps, five packets of biscuits, one dozen bananas and a litre of milk every day," Mirror wrote.

Doctors believe that the children are suffering from Prader-Willi syndrome, but they don't know how to treat the rare genetic condition.

"Their condition could be due to endocrinal disease or Prader-Willi syndrome," Dr. Akshay Mandavia explained about the condition.

"But we can only ascertain the right treatment after a proper diagnosis at one of our top hospitals," he added.
