Do you ever wonder what the son of Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Matilda Jeffries (Christine Taylor) look like now? There have been reports that we will see their grown up son in "Zoolander 2" and it will be played by Cyrus Arnold.
The 49-year-old director shared a photo of his character driving a car together with his on-screen son.
"Meet @cyrusarnold. Son of Derek. #Zoolander2," he wrote on Instagram.
The young actor shared a screenshot of Ben Stiller's post on his own account and wrote, "It's out!!! I am playing Ben Stiller's son in "Zoolander 2"!! So happy to share the news with all of you!! #zoolander2 #derekjr."
Many fans are excited about the latest news, but they also wanted to know more about the young actor. According to NY Daily News, Cyrus Arnold has appeared on the NBC series "About a Boy" and a new sitcom version of the comic "Richie Rich" on Netflix.
News.com.au revealed that the up-and-coming actor will be working on three features including "Hardcore" which will be shown sometime this year. Cyrus will voice Chaz in "B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations." The animation will also feature the voice of Seth Rogen, Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy, and Matt Bomer.
Cyrus Arnold is excited to star as Derek Jr. and he even shared his name tag on Instagram. He also posted a photo of the people watching their filming in Rome.
"People are very excited about 'Zoolander 2'! Big crowd today watching the action! #zoolander2. #derekjr. #kidactor." he wrote on Instagram.
Apart from Ben Stiller and his wife Christine Taylor, the sequel will also see the return of Owen Wilson as Hansel and Will Ferrell as Mugatu. The baby of Derek Zoolander and Matilda Jeffries was introduced in the last past of the 2001 film where he was shown doing the "blue steel" pose. Would Derek Jr. do that again in "Zoolander 2?"
Find out on February 2016.
