Fans have been clamoring to hear news as to when Guns N' Roses new album release date would be.
While band members have confirmed that they are working on something, very few details have been revealed about their supposed new album, which is a follow up to their 2010 album titled Guns N' Roses Family Tree.
In line with a new record, fans are also asking the band for a long-awaited tour, and in a recent interview Mitch Lafon's podcast, guitarist Richard Fortus has offered to shed some light on the news.
"I don't think there's gonna be any touring soon, he admitted via an excerpt from Blabber Mouth. "We have been working on material. And that sort of starts and stops, but we're still plugging away at it."
And while he revealed that there isn't going to be any tour for the band, he is quite candid to admitting that they are already working on a "material" for their new album.
Fortus' statement has somehow backed up DJ Ashba's previous revelation that Guns N' Roses is indeed working on a new album, during an interview with Metalinsider saying,
"We are planning on doing quite a bit of touring this coming year," he teased late last year. "The focus is getting in a studio and putting together what we all feel is the best Guns N' Roses record. Lack of material is not an issue. We have tons of stuff."
And as for a reunion tour, while fans are eager to see Guns N' Roses back on stage doing what they're most famous for, the band's frontman, Axl Rose has refused to comply.
His unwillingness to work on a reunion tour has reportedly led people to feel frustrated and disappointed by him. However, Fortus was quick to defend his bandmate explaining as to why Rose hasn't decided to work on a reunion tour yet.
"I've worked with a lot of people in this business, and I've never seen, or met, anybody that was motivatd purely by that - by the desire to make art," he explained on the podcast.
"And you can say whatever you want about it, 'cause he's not gonna defend himself, but he is that, and that's for sure. Otherwise, there would have been a reunion, because the offers for money have been outrageous. But he would never do a reunion unless it was for something besides money."

Meanwhile another member of the group has been meaning to defend his bandmate, drummer Steven Adler, who also had a podcast interview with Mitch Lafon.
While Adler believed that it would be great to work on a reunion tour, he would rather support Axl Rose for whatever reason he might have for not giving into offers for a reunion.
"That's nice to say he wouldn't do it for the money," Adler said of Axl Rose.
"But if he needs a reason to do it, I have a billion reasons, and that's a billion people around the world who love us and have supported us and want more than anything to see us. ... It's Axl's call on doing a reunion. It's all up to him. And I love him and I have his back, and I support him in everything he does except for if he doesn't wanna play for the fans, I can't support that. 'Cause it's all for the fans."
