Activision Brings ‘Guitar Hero Live’ On Stage This Fall; Confirmed To Be Available For PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U Consoles

"Guitar Hero" is back to rock your consoles.

It was announced today that after nearly five years on a long hiatus, Activision confirmed the new "Guitar Hero Live" is coming this fall along with its rival "Rockband 4" produced by Harmonix, Wired reported.

But fans of the music rhythm franchise might shell out some extra money as they can no longer use their old guitars and old songs in their previous "Guitar Hero" games. As per USA Today, the five colorful buttons have been replaced by "a new compact six-button outlay manipulated by your index, middle and ring fingers."

It will cost around $99 for the guitar controller and "a platform-specific game," The Verge added.

Activision will not only bring "Guitar Hero Live" on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U consoles, but also it will be playable on mobile devices.

"Imagine someone is using the television in your house, you can take (the game) in the other room and play on your phone screen or on your tablet screen with the whole guitar," Activision Publishing senior director Tyler Michaud said.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the upcoming franchise will offer two modes- the "GH Live" and "GHTV."

"The former puts you in the shoes of a rockstar, on stage in front of thousands of people and the crowd reacts to the player's performance on stage. While the 'GHTV' gives the classic feel of the old 'Guitar Hero' and allows players to 'rock' different music videos on 'GH Live.'"

"You never see yourself in Guitar Hero Live, you never really hear yourself talk, because the whole idea is for you to imagine that you're there," FreeStyleGames studio head Jamie Jackson shares the new environment of the game.

"It's about getting you to believe that you're on that stage, and to be completely swept along by the whole thing. That's our vision for the game."
