'Guardians Of The Galaxy 2' Gearing Up! Vin Diesel And Bradley Cooper Teased Details About James Gunn's Sequel

| By

While "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will not be released on theaters not until May 5, 2017, director James Gunn is reportedly already working on the sequel.

According to Superhero Hype, the second installment to the highly anticipated intergalactic superhero movie is going to start production in February next year, but Gunn has already finished the treatment and outline for the project, even the script is already in the works.

In addition, the publication mentioned that while everything went well with the U.K. shooting, the movie will now be filmed at Pinewood's studio in Atlanta.

It seems like James Gunn is really determined to bring an explosive "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" with the way he's working on things, even "Fast & Furious 7" star Vin Diesel, who played the role of the witty talking tree Groot could attest to Gunn's hard work.

"I know James Gunn is very excited and he's working on it right now," Diesel revealed. "He's very excited about what Groot will do in the 2017 movie."

The 47-year-old action star also shared his excitement after being nominated at MTV Movie Awards for his portrayal of a tree.

"I just talked to James Gunn last week once we got all the wonderful nominations for the MTV Movie Awards," Diesel said.

"To think that I'm nominated for best duo, again this year, as a tree [laughs] is pretty outrageous, especially since Paul [Walker] and I won best duo in 2002, when the MTV audience was the first to embrace [the "Fast & Furious"] saga. It was really was. It was the MTV audience that said, 'this is important.' And they've been loyal ever since to the point, just last year we won best duo again, 12 years apart."

In a separate interview with Comic Book, Vin Diesel shared his excitement in returning to the sequel and working again with his co-stars.

"I'm really excited about having an opportunity to work with the whole 'Guardians of the Galaxy' family. And Marvel has been really cool. And everything's just really cool."

Bradley Cooper on the other hand, who played Rocket Raccoon, tried to play coy in sharing details about the highly anticipated "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" during an interview with MTV

"I know nothing. No, nothing. Literally," Bradley insisted. "Just that I hope Rocket's in it. I don't know anything, which is part of the fun."
