While "Avengers" cast Jeremy Renner is reportedly confirmed to join "Captain America: Civil War," new reports claim that he's not appearing in Chris Hemsworth's "Thor: Ragnarok."
According to VC Post, the 44-year-old actor "ditched the third installment of the Thor franchise to be able to film for the other Marvel movie," citing that his busy schedule with other movies forbade him from working on "Thor's" sequel.
While Renner failed to comment on the news yet, his movie line up is indeed packed. He has just finished filming "Mission Impossible 5" with Tom Cruise and "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which will be released in May.
In addition "Avengers" cast Jeremy Renner is also said to appear in "Captain America: Civil War," return to the "Bourne" franchise with Matt Damon and reprise his role as Hansel in the sequel of "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 2."
While Renner never confirmed his involvement in "Captain America" sequel, he did tease fans in an interview with MTV.
"I'm happy to be the ensemble," Renner explained when asked if he wants to star in a Hawkeye standalone film. "I'm not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means."
Adding, "I think he's a utility guy that can bounce around into other people's universes a little bit, especially like 'Cap 3.'"
And in another interview this time with Collider, "Avengers" cast Jeremy Renner hinted his involvement with "Captain America: Civil War" again.
"There are rumblings of 'Captain America 3.' I don't know what's going to happen there. I've got to find the time, man (laughs). I'm trying to stay home and I can't," he answered when asked about how he finds time in his busy schedule.
In an article by Collider, Jeremy Renner's name was already included in the cast of lineup for "Captain America: Civil War."
