"Mario Kart 8" is now available exclusively on Wii and it is set to receive its DLC Pack 2 in April 23. But contents of the upcoming DLC are still undisclosed, Explosion reported.
According to Nerd Reactor, the game developers will include updates on the game next week. Even though the DLC Pack 2 won't be purchased, players may enjoy new level of speed. Currently, the race set classes available for "Mario Kart 8" are at 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc, and a 200cc will be added.
The update has been teased through a video comparing the 200cc and 150cc classes on the Piranha Plant Pipeway track.
There are also rumors swirling around in the rumor mill that old tracks may return as Nintendo-Insider
and Attack of the Fanboy noted from a NeoGaf, user named Robin64,
''Over on NeoGaf, user Robin64 pulled the download data from the last Mario Kart 8 DLC pack, which seems to hint at a couple of returning tracks for the next round of DLC. The data had thirteen new entries for track lists and music, but only contained eight actual new tracks. Looking at the five additional ones show that they are most likely for the next round of DLC,'' Attack of the Fanboy wrote.
The rumors went on that the other tracks hinted the inclusion of Baby Park from Gamecube and 3DS's Neo Bowser City.
''Baby Park is a fan-favorite as it features one of the smallest and most tightly packed tracks in the Mario Kart series. This allows for more item and weapon usage from players, creating a particularly hectic environment. Given the shorter distance of the track it usually features more laps than the standard three. The track was previously remade for Mario Kart DS, but hasn't been seen since. This would be the first remake for Neo Bowser City since its appearance in Mario Kart 7,'' Attack of the Fanboy added.
While the three tracks appear to be new ones. The other track might be the Animal Crossing themed track which was first rumored to be included on the DLC Pack 2, and to complete the five tracks are "METRO" and "WOODS."
