Avril Lavigne Chad Kroeger Divorce: Nickelback Frontman Relieved After Her Wife’s Undisclosed Health Issue Has Been Revealed

| By

"Let Me Go" singer Avril Lavigne finally revealed her undisclosed health condition last month through an interview with People magazine and admitted that she was diagnosed with Lyme disease - the same disease which "Real Housewives" star Yolanda Foster is battling.

After Avril's revelation of her debilitating illness, her husband Nickelback frontman, who has been very supportive throughout her battle with Lyme disease, was relieved as Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger divorce rumors have been put to rest.

The 40-year-old musician is "very thankful" that the "Hello Kitty" singer opened up about her illness, Yahoo UK reported.

"I'm like OK the wife has come out and said this and now I don't have to keep hiding,'' he told KIIS FM's Australian radio show Kyle & Jackie O.

"With everyone going 'What's wrong with your wife, what's wrong with your wife' and me just going, 'ah she's gonna be fine'. I'm like 'okay, I can talk about this now.'"

Meanwhile, Avril Lavigne talked about her future career plans on her recent interview with Billboard. She shared that she wanted to record a Christmas album, and plans to shoot a movie, Music News reported.

"I've always wanted to make a Christmas album, but I've never had the time," she said.

"But now it's like, 'You know what, just do it!' Because that's something I really want to do," so her album "Fly" which will be the anthem for the 2015 Special Olympics will be out in April 16.

"The song is really inspirational and means a lot to me -- and with the Special Olympics, it's a natural fit," Avril added.

She continued saying that she will raise awareness about Lyme disease which confined her to bed for five months.

"I need to talk about Lyme disease, because it's real, it's out there, it was a simple bug bite and it could happen to anybody. People need to know about it, because it's not talked about that much and a lot of the information that's out there is inaccurate."
