It's no secret that the casting of Ben Affleck as the new Bruce Wayne in the upcoming "Batman Vs Superman" movie has indeed sparked controversy.
While many did not think that Affleck's contribution to the new Warner Bros. movie would be great, Henry Cavill, who will star as Superman thinks otherwise.
"I'm sure he'll be fantastic above all else," "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill, told Total Film.
"And as a filmmaker, he's got his own style, you know. He's not copying anyone else. And he's also sort of being tenacious in his career. He's had ups followed by downs and now he's very up again, and I think that requires and shows a very special strength of character. And it's something which I enjoy working with because jobs like this require strength of character, they require a dedication to the work and belief in oneself. And Ben has that, clearly."
Henry Cavill who clearly believes that Ben Affleck would be great as Batman is supported by another "Batman Vs Superman" returning cast Amy Adams.
While Adams, who portrayed the role of Lois Lane admitted that she only had one scene with the "Gone Girl" actor, she strongly beileves that Affleck's portrayal of Bruce Wayne would impress the fans.
"He is going to be his own unique thing," Adams said of his co-star in an interview with Press Association. "He's got a wonderful quality and a great body of work, I was only in one scene with him, I think I'm allowed to say that. So I didn't get to see much, but what I saw was fantastic."
"Batman Vs Superman" cast also include Gal Gadot as Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.
Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane are returning to reprise their roles as Perry White and Martha Kent.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit cinemas on March 25, 2016.
