"Orphan Black" season 3 premiere episode will air in just eight days and the nearer it gets, the more scoop Clone Club receives.
Over the past weeks, the BBC America sci-fi TV series has released several clips previewing the situation of both the male and female clones, to be played by Ari Millen and Tatiana Maslany, respectively.
The two clone projects are expected to clash from the rest of the season. The male ones are like brothers while the female ones are still working on their relationship with each other.
It is clear that the "Orphan Black" season 3 premiere will see Sarah and the rest of her sisters get introduced to the new threats in their lives. In earlier interviews, Millen said his characters will go after their female counterparts. They are not only created to become the core of a military group but also to erase the clones seen in the first two seasons.
In another interview with TV Line, Millen said the male clones are not only sent to kill Maslany's characters. They are there as accessories for a bigger conspiracy.
"I definitely think it adds to the conspiracy of it all," Millen told TV Line when asked "what does the introduction of the male clones mean for Sarah, Alison, Cosima and the others?"
"I don't think it's a far stretch if there is a cloning program and there were women clones; of course there's going to be male clones. And it just so happens that it's the military doing the cloning, doing the science. So it's only going to deepen the conspiracy, darken things. We're not there to give them an easy time, that's for sure."
"Orphan Black" season 3 premiere is on April 18. The pilot episode will be aired on BBC America, AMC, SundanceTV, IFC and We TV.
Aside from Maslany and Millen, other actors who will reprise their roles for third season are Jordan Gavaris who plays Felix, Kevin Hanchard as Detective Arthur "Art" Bell, Maria Doyle Kennedy as Mrs. S, Dylan Bruce as Paul Dierden, and évelyne Brochu as Dr. Delphine Cormier.
