New 'Mortal Kombat X' Gameplay Trailer Featured The Briggs Family In Their Most Gruesome Killing Spree! Jason Voorhees Included In The Characters Lineup

NetherRelm and High Voltage Software are serious in bringing the upcoming "Mortal Kombat X" to new generation gaming consoles, PS4 and Xbox One.

While the release date is nearing, the developers of the blood and gore fighting game are busy promoting by releasing new characters and gameplay trailer that will surely excite fans.

One week prior the game's release date a new gameplay trailer was released featuring the Briggs family in their most gruesome killing spree.

In the gameplay video Jackson (Jax) and his daughter Jacqueline could be seen showcasing their movesets as they brutally dismantle their enemies.

In addition to the recent gameplay footage, NetherRelm also released a series of additional playable characters for the upcoming "Mortal Kombat X."

The new game slated for release on April 14 will now feature the iconic "Friday the 13th" movie villain, Jason Voorhees.

Voorhees will be available via downloading "The Kombat Pack" at $30, complete with character skins, Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok and Jingu Kitana, according to Engadget.

Gamers could also avail of the new character by purchashing DLC packs which include The Kollector's Edition priced at $150, Limitied Edition for $100 and Premium Edition for $90.

Johnny Cage a resident character in the "Mortal Kombat" franchise is also going to be added to "Mortak Kombat X" come its release date next week.

According to NetherRelm's senior producer Adam Urbano in an interview with Polygon Cage's daughter Cassie is also going to be a playable character for the new game

"You'll get to play as Johnny Cage, but we're also showing Cassie Cage, who is the daughter of Sonya and Johnny," Urbano revealed. "You'll get a chance to see Kenshi and a chance to see a couple more."

"Mortal Kombat X" PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC versions will be released on April 14, according to Game Stop website.
