One 'Empire' TV Series Cast Member To Perform One Of Show's Song At TV Land Awards

Director, writer, and the whole "Empire" TV series cast are on a break after concluding its successful first season on March 18.

This means the only way fans can hear the catchy and amazing "Empire" tracks is through Youtube, Spotify, or iTunes. To those aching to see the Fox drama's artists perform the songs live, you can catch one at the TV Land Awards as Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson is expected to grace the ceremony and perform one of the most-loved sound tracks of the show.

In a report by the Entertainment Weekly, the late "Empire" TV series cast addition/guest star is scheduled to be featured at the TV Land Awards and sign "Whatever Makes You Happy." The entertainment website wrote:

"Saturday's taping of the TV Land Awards will feature a special musical guest. Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson will perform "Whatever Makes You Happy" from Empire's season 1 soundtrack, EW has learned exclusively."

Aside from the cameo of "Empire" TV series cast and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson, the 2015 TV Land Awards will also be graced by "McBeal" star Calista Flockhart who will make her first appearance since husband Harrison Ford's plane crash. The show will be hosted by "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Terry Crews and will also pay a special tribute to legendary comedian Joan Rivers as well as Betty White, and Donny and Marie Osmond.

As for Jennifer Hudson, there are no reports yet whether she will still be be a guest star in "Empire" season 2 but she already expressed desire to reprise her role as Michelle White, a musical therapist who has a budding romance with Andre Lyon (Trai Byers). For the second season, among the artists series creators and producers pitching to bring in as part of the "Empire" TV series cast are Eminem, Denzel Washington, and Oprah.

"Empire" TV series cast is lead by Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett, Byers, and Bryshere Gray.
