Now the truth has come out. Eric Stonestreet, who won an Emmy Award last night for Best Support Actor in a Comedy, took to Twitter to clear up the reports.
"I wish people would stop spreading rumors that Charlize Theron and I are dating," Stonestreet, 41, joked on Twitter. "It's starting to make Halle Berry jealous."
Stonestreet's rep also denied the rumors to People, saying "There is nothing romantic going on between them. He has only met Charlize twice!"
Stonestreet recently split up with his long-term girlfriend Katherine Tokarz. He stars as Cameron and Jesse Tylor Ferguson as Mitchell on the hit T.V. show "Modern Family." Meanwhile, co-star Julie Bowen took the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy.
Fellow cast-member Sofia Vergara turned heads at the Emmy's last night for her form-fitting teal dress. However, moments before hitting the red carpet, the Columbian beauty had a serious wardrobe malfunction. The back of her dress split open, revealing a nude-colored thong. Vergara proudly tweeted out a picture of her world-famous behind to all her followers, saying, "Dress malfuncion !!! Thank you emergency team!!!"
"Yes!!!! This happend [sic] 20 min before we won!!!! Jajajajja. I luv my life!!!!" she tweeted.
The wardrobe malfunction was fixed before the star hit the stage and she even stayed in the gorgeous beaded teal gown for the rest of the evening, while celebrating with her cast mates at an after-party.
