Fans of the "Dead Island 2" are now in doubt if the game will be launched on the expected time frame.
The first-person zombie adventure is expected to be released some time in Spring this year, but Deep Silver, the game developer, has been quiet after its launch at E3 2014 as VideoGamer pointed out that many of the social media accounts associated with the game were inactive for weeks.
''The 'Dead Island 2' Twitter account hasn't tweeted since February, the game's website hasn't been updated since December and - as far as we can tell - there hasn't been anything in the way of a trailer or gameplay clip released since last summer. That doesn't inspire much confidence for a game that's supposed to be out relatively soon,'' Videogamer wrote.
Though its dedicated Twitter page is inactive, it still claims on its last that the game is "coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC in Spring 2015."
Videogamer contacted the game developer, but a ''a representative for the publisher chose not to issue a response''.
PlayStation Lifestyle added that "Dead Island" will get a 30-day exclusive beta on PlayStation 4 prior to launch, and still there were no announcements being made.
Rumors have it that the release date will be delayed until Fall of 2015.
According to Eurogamer.cz it will be pushed back months later than its expected release as the game isn't ready by Spring. Its "internal" source claim that Deep Silver has been eyeing for a September release, ''however, the project still doesn't have an exact release date.''
Meanwhile, "Dead Island 2" will have "more deadly and dangerous zombies" but they are easier to destroy and kill, while it will feature Rage system from "Dead Island 1."
Players of the "Dead Island 2" will still be given a temporary boost and weapons combining technique, Celeb Beat reported.
