'Gotham' Episode Guide: Gordon Hunts A 'Jack The Ripper' Like Criminal; More Batman Villains To Appear In The Fox TV Series' Season 2

| By

It has been more than one month since the last "Gotham" episode aired wherein fans saw Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) sought the help of Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) as they investigate the sudden release of Arnold Flass.

While that proved to be a fruitful partnership, do not expect it to continue, even if Jim will find himself in tight spot in the show's return.

According to the latest "Gotham" episode guide released, the principled GCPD cop will deal with a serial killer that could pass as the infamous Jack the Ripper, at least on the type of victims he targets.

Read the "Gotham" episode guide for "Beasts of Prey" which will air on April 13.

"Gordon and Bullock investigate a cold case involving the Ogre, a serial killer who targets young women in Gotham City. Meanwhile, Fish plots her escape from the Dollmaker, and Bruce and Selina confront Reggie in the all new "Beasts of Prey" episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, April 13 (8:00-9:00 ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-119) (TV-14 L, S, V)."

In the comics, Ogre is known as part of a tandem with the Ape filling up the second spot. They debuted in Batman #535 and never really had a mainstream exposure except in the upcoming "Gotham" episode wherein Ogre will be played by Milo Ventimiglia.

This new "Gotham" villain is expected to appear in multiple episodes this first season.

Speaking of "new villain," more are expected to come in the Fox TV series, probably in the second season. While the "Gotham" episode guide above features a not-so popular Batman nemesis, the next ones being planned to be brought in are those comics fans fully know. They are Mr. Freeze, Clayface and Mad Hatter.

Executive Producer John Stephens said according to Collider:

"We always want to walk the fine line of the reality of our world. Walking right up to that line where super-villains live. So there are a lot of characters from Batman lore that fit that bill. People like Victor Freeze - who's a science villain. You can play a lot of his abilities without going into the world of superheroes."

Adding, "Clayface and Mad Hatter are both villains we're going to bring in [as well]. They both have great backstories and great personalities. Clayface especially is a character I want to [explore the origin of]."
