Monica Lewinsky Book Deal Worth $12 Mln, Are People Still Interested in The Story?

| By

Monica Lewinsky book deal is reportedly worth $12 million and the memoir may contain explicit details about her romantic relationship with former President Bill Clinton.

Lewinsky has received a $12 million book deal for the memoir, in which she plans to reveal Clinton's penchant for "kinky sex," and the disparaging ways he would refer to his wife Hillary. Lewinsky also plans to include love letters she wrote to the President and details that he wanted to have a threesome.

Meanwhile, sources close to the 39-year-old former White House intern say this is not true.

"Several publishers would love her to tell all, but she has no intention of doing so," a friend of Lewinsky's said, according to the Huffington Post. "She has been through enough already and all this happened 14 years ago. She has put it behind her and moved on with her life."

Lewinsky was just 21 years old when her romantic and sexual encounters with Bill Clinton took place behind closed doors right at the White House. The scandal held national as well as international headlines for years, and the story nearly ousted him from the White House.

In 1999, 70 million Americans tuned in to see her interview with Barbara Walters. She also cooperated with Andrew Morton on his book "Monica's Story," telling her side of the story of her affair with Clinton. It was reported that she made more than $1 million from her participation.

Meanwhile, other reports say that she will still move ahead with the book deal. "In them, she opened her heart about her love for Bill and how much happier she could make him. Some of what she wrote was so raw that she never sent them." Lewinsky has yet to confirm or deny the book deal.
