The chemistry between "Insurgent" co-stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley had become apparent since the release of "Divergent" last year.
The two have been constantly romantically linked with each other after that.
While they cannot bring that romance in real life since the 30-year-old English star is exclusively dating Ruth Kearney, they maintained their on-screen chemistry by sharing personal details about each other during an interview with the Today Show.
The friendship of the two have grown so much deeper while filming the second installment of the "Divergent" franchise, "Insurgent."
And to prove how close they are, Shailene Woodley and Theo James were asked about personal stuff about each other that no one usually knows about.
The 23-year-old "The Fault in Our Stars" actress was up first, she was asked what is the weirdest gift that James received from a fan.
"Ruby necklace," she wrote on the paper .
"It's true, James immediately reacted confirming Woodley's answer. "It's a necklace. Whether it was a ruby, I'm not sure ... but I like it."
When James' turn was up, he was asked, "What's the one item that Shailene couldn't live without?"
"Red wine," he quickly responded on the piece of paper provided to him.
Shailene Woodley nod in agreement.
Woodley then shared her thoughts upon making the sequel and how it pressured her to do better following the box office succes of "Divergent."
"Yes there is that sense of if you are going to do a second movie you want to raise the stakes even higher and you want to take it to that next level," she explaied.
"And coming back into it was a little difficult than we thought just because in the interim we worked in different projects, we met different directors and shooting in different location."
To which Theo James responded in agreement adding that he had to push himself to his limits.
"That's the nice thing about doing a second film you get a chance to explore elements of the character that you didn't in the first, you get to go a little deeper," Theo James added. "If you do a second movie you need to ... push the boundaries and kind of make it a little bigger."
And while Theo James had been very discreet with his relationship with real life girlfriend Ruth Kearney, it has been reported that he relied heavily on his girlfriend's support in filming complex scenes in "Insurgent."
"What I liked about him is he's not Joe Hero," James told LA Times. "He's a quiet person in some ways. He's authoritative. He has a good moral objective. He's not just willingly accepting of any kind of leadership destiny."
It can be remembered that Theo James did not bring his girlfriend to the red carpet premier of "Insurgent" in Berlin instead he decided to stick with onscreen partner Shailene Woodley to show his dedication for the franchise.
But that doesn't mean that he's ditching his girlfriend, based on his interview with Flaunt, James is just really a private person and he's not comfortable in sharing his life to the public. In fact he doesn't even own a social media account.
"I don't think I'd want to share those elements of my private life," Theo James confessed.
"I don't have it and I never will. Other actors I know are really good at it and they rock and roll it, but it's not for me. If I post a picture of us having a drink now and get loads of views or comments and stuff, then suddenly you're quite exposed and you're in a world of work. I just like being present."
