Ed Sheeran's bodyguard has been keeping overenthusiastic fans at bay recently.
The Brit Award winner admitted that this is his first time with a security detail.
"I've been given a security guard, for the first time in four years," the 24-year-old reportedly told The Sun (via Daily Mail).
But why does the "Thinking Out Loud" hitmaker need some protecting in the first place?
According to the Daily Mail, he was given the guard to help fend off fans that are a little too aggressive.
"It started getting a little bit grabby," he added. "I don't mind if people ask politely but if someone grabs you and pulls you..."

Although fame will definitely bring in more fans, could his recent single status be contributing to the hysteria?
The Grammy nominee recently revealed that he's back on the market once again during an interview with Australian radio sation KIIS 1065.
"I wasn't single. I was in a relationship for a long time," the 24-year-old singer told DJ Kyle Sandiland when he was asked if he was single.
"But you're single now?" the DJ pressed on, to which Sheeran replied with a "Yes."
However, he seems to be coping well after the breakup as he was spotted out on an alleged date with Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin following his revelation.
It seems that Sheeran's fans' have been given renewed hope now that he's single again. The songwriter, after all, is well known for being friendly towards fans who ask for autographs and pictures.
This same trait is supposedly the main reason why Sheeran and Athina Andrelos broke up.
"It wasn't to do with his fame, it's just how he'd deal with other people - girls - wanting to talk to him on nights out," a source reportedly told heat magazine.
