"The Originals" season 2 will come end its hiatus on April 6 to resume the story of the Mikaelson siblings. This time, they will be facing a new powerful enemy.
Their long-lost sister Freya's (Riley Voelkel) return also comes danger for Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) daughter Hope. The paranoid father doesn't believe Freya's offer of an alliance against their Aunt Dahlia who is out to harness the power of all the Mikaelson eldest siblings.
They also learned that Freya lost her child when she tried to kill herself to get away from Dahlia's clutches. Her child's death pushed her into wanting her own Aunt dead.
Thanks to Klaus' mission to keep his daughter safe and Freya's mission to exact revenge for her lost loved ones, they will be joining forces to take out their mother's power-hungry sister.
Carina MacKenzie, a writer for "The Originals" season 2, recently posted a promising Tweet regarding the CW show's finale.
"Just read #TheOriginals Season 2 finale. Laughed. Cried. Okay, mostly cried. Amazing work by @junkyardmessiah & Chris Hollier," MacKenzie posted on the microblogging site.
Could there be another death in the finale?
Fans already saw Kol Mikaelson (Daniel Sharman) get killed by his own crazed brother Finn. Rebekah and Divina promised to get him back from the other side.
Perhaps a family reunion will happen in the season's last episode?
Meanwhile, the next episode will put Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) in danger when the owner of her host body takes control. They previously discovered that the original owner of the body is Eva Sinclair, a serial killer intent on harnessing power from young witches to make herself stronger.
Dahlia will most likely be appearing soon, especially now that Hope is already displaying immense power. According to Freya, it is the eldest Mikaelson sibling's power that serves as a beacon for the powerful witch.
"The Originals" season 2 returns on the CW this Monday, April 6 at 9:00 PM.
