It was earlier reported that the 11th Doctor from "Doctor Who" is a favorite to be a part of the "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" cast.
Although no official announcement has been made regarding the casting, fans are pretty much excited to know who would be taking on the lead role of Newt Scamander.
Who are the best candidates for the job?
Radio Times and Buzzfeed gave lists of their own regarding who Newt should be. Following JK Rowling's tradition of hiring only British actors for the "Harry Potter" franchise, let's look at the best candidates for the role!
Both articles believed that Smith, "Merlin" alum Colin Morgan and "Slumdog Millionaire" star Dev Patel would be great for the role.
Radio Times also added twin brothers Luke and Harry Treadaway (who plays Viktor Frankenstein in Showtime's "Penny Dreadful") as well as Emilia Fox' younger brother Freddie to their list.
It also included "Spiderman" star Andrew Garfield and another "Harry Potter" cast who unfortunately was cut at the last minute. Luke Newberry went as far as shooting for a (deleted) scene in the "Harry Potter" epilogue scene as Teddy Lupin.
