Speculations about pregnant Sophie Hunter's wedding gown being a Valentino creation started when Benedict Cumberbatch's then-fiance attended the line's haute couture show last January.
A month after the couple's private wedding on Valentine's Day, the public finally got a glimpse of her wedding dress - and it is indeed a Valentino design!
According to Daily Mail, instead of following the traditional route of using white, champagne or ivory shades, pregnant Sophie Hunter's wedding gown was reportedly made with silver lace. The dress had a high neckline and the cut stylishly hid her growing baby bump.
The University of Oxford graduate wasn't the only the high-profile bride that worked with the prestigious fashion brand.
According to Hello Magazine Anne Hathaway, Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and Tatiana Santo Domingo are just some of the bride who chose to have their wedding outfits made by Valentino. See the dress here.
The luxury fashion line posted a photo of the theatre director and actress in her stunning custom-made gown.
The Instagram photo was captioned, "Beautiful Sophie Hunter with Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli prepping her couture dress for her March wedding to Benedict Cumberbatch. #magicmoment #sophiehunter #benedictcumberbatch photographed by #AnnieLeibovitz."
Contrary to the post however, Hunter and her Academy Award-nominated husband wed in February amongst their family and closest friends.
"The Imitation Game" star's actor friends were also at the Isle Of Wight to witness the intimate ceremony. His co-stars Tom Hiddleston and Andrew Scott were in attendance that day.
Right after the wedding, the couple flew to Los Angeles where they spent a couple of days sight-seeing and just driving around the coast before attending the Oscars.
Their real honeymoon happened in Bora Bora. The newlyweds reportedly spent their time swimming and enjoying the paradise-like place.
"They really seemed in love and like perfect partners. He was doting on her and rubbing her back and her pregnant belly," an eyewitness reportedly revealed.
