| By

Christina Aguilera was honored with a special award during the 2012 ALMA Awards in Pasadena, California Sunday.

Gracing the stage, "The Voice" judge thanked NCLR for recognizing her as a "Voice of a Generation" performer.

"It's a huge honor. It's important to know that I've gotten to use my voice in all capacities, and it's most important for me to be able to use my voice for good. Having gone to Haiti and Guatemala with the World Food program and seeing first hand how your voice can make a difference means a lot to me."

Although the Aguilera arrived just before the show was set to begin, her mere presence was definitely one of the biggest highlights. Dressed in a fitted black dress with lace cutouts that highlighted her killer curves, Christina took the stage to accept a special achievement award after an impressive video tribute honoring both her incredible career and her work in philanthropy played on stage.

"I share this award with all my fellow fans who are using their voice for good," she said with pride.

The show took place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, September 16 in Pasadena, Calif. Co-hosted by Eva and George Lopez, it will broadcast on ABC on September 21, 2012 at 8 P.M. EDT / 7 P.M. CDT. Zoe Saldana was among the winners as she took home Favorite Movie Actress Drama/Adventure.
