Vanity Fair recently fell for a convincing early April Fool's prank by the Daily Pennsylvanian about Emma Watson considering grad school at University of Pennsylvania.
The fashion website had a reason to fall for the article, which was reportedly part of the news site's annual joke issue. The "Harry Potter" alum graduated from Brown University last year and with the British actress' desire to learn more, it would definitely not be a surprise if she does decide to proceed to the next level in education.
According to the parody article, the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for Women supposedly "fell in love" with the university's English department and decided to get her Master's degree there.
The article even included a quote from Watson's "publicist."
"She loved the vibrant atmosphere of the school and how it provides students with a sense of belonging and community while allowing them to be part of a larger, diverse student body," Kingsley Pennyton, the "Perk Of Being A Wallflower" star's supposed publicist, reportedly said.
"I'm excited," another supposed school officer, Catherine Bennet, head of the Graduate English program "I think Emma's beliefs mirror those of the English Department here at Penn. We strive to foster a challenging, inclusive and supportive departmental culture that not only focuses on the core of the subject but also its ramifications and connections to other areas of study."
Vanity Fair first fell for the story and started reporting on it but The Daily Pennsylvanian reached out to the site and explained that it was just part of the publication's joke issue - an early April's Day prank.
Whether true or not, the fake issue helped answer another question: everyone wants Emma Watson to go to grad school.
The question, however, is how will she be able to manage, her time this year seeing as she will be promoting two films this year.
Do you think Watson will indeed get a Masters in English Literature soon?
