One Direction has lost one of its members after Zayn Malik announced that he is quitting from the group.
In the official Facebook page of the band, Zayn apologized to the fans adding he came up with the decision to get some "private time out of the spotlight."
He also insisted he will continue as friends with other members of the band namely Niall, Harry, Liam and Louis.
The remaining members of One Diretions also reacted on Zay Malik's decision:
"We're really sad to see Zayn go, but we totally respect his decision and send him all our love for the future. The past five years have been beyond amazing, we've gone through so much together, so we will always be friends. The four of us will now continue. We're looking forward to recording the new album and seeing all the fans on the next stage of the world tour."
While Zayn Malik and other remaining members of One Direction had mutual respect for this development, fans just can't take it.
