The most recent "The Flash" episode saw Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) battle familiar foes.
Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell) together with new member Lisa Snart (Peyton List) returned to the Starling City to bring down a mob, which they did successfully and seek revenge on the Scarlet Speedster.
For the nth time, The Flash wasn't able to lock up his nemesis. However, the third time is only because out of the two's mutual agreement that they will let each other go. With Captain Cold out in the open, it means one less metahuman in their very own prison inside STAR Labs.
Not being able to add one more powerful creature inside the STAR Labs prison in the last episode might be a good thing for the The Flash. According to a recent "The Flash" episode guide, the implication of putting rogues within their facility might not sit well with every member of the laboratory.
This will unfold by episode 22.
"There's a long discussion [in Episode 22] about the moral implications of the pipeline and what keeping them there means. Do they have that right?," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said as reported by TV Line.
"All the characters get to chime in on how they feel about it. That's exciting because - beyond everybody always asking how do they go to the bathroom and where do they get their food from - some of them are super dangerous. So, how do you let them out into the world?"
Before Barrry Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Cisco (Carlos Valdes), and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) get into a discussion about the pipeline, they will have to deal first with another not-so new enemy next week. The Trickster (Mark Hamill) is back and he will make Barry run forever. Check the complete "The Flash" episode guide below:
"A copycat killer who goes by the name "The Trickster" (guest star Devon Graye) starts setting off bombs in Central City. In order to stop the villain, Barry and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) meet with the original Trickster, a criminal mastermind named James Jesse (guest star Mark Hamill), who has been imprisoned for 20 years. Things quickly go from bad to worse when the Tricksters unite and take Henry (John Wesley Shipp) prisoner. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) asks Eddie (Rick Cosnett) for help with a case, and flashbacks show how Harrison Wells came up with the idea for the particle accelerator."
