Microsoft has joined the Mobile World Congress for the first time and unveiled its two new mid-range Lumia phones at the said event.
The Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL which boast an affordable price tag are now official in some select markets.
The two new mid-range Lumias are said to be a tough competitor of the latest Moto G 4G with LTE.

Design And Screen
The Lumia 640 features colorful variants of matte white, black, blue, and glossy orange and measures 5.56 x 2.84 x 0.35 inches and weighs 5.11 ounces.
In comparison, the Moto G 4G has two color variants and 5.57 x 2.78 x 0.43 inches and weighs 5.47. Users can also customize its back shell that are available in red, purple, hot pink, bright green, turquoise, and bright yellow colors.
Both phones render a resolution of 720 x 1280 with 294ppi, and their screens are topped with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3

When it comes to their processors, both phones have the same similar Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chipset which is supported by a 1GB of RAM.
The Lumia 640 has an 8GB onboard storage while the Motorola 4G has 16GB. Both phones' memory are expandable via a microSD with up to 128GB on the Lumia 640 and 32GB on the Moto G.
The Moto G gives its users a taste of the latest Android OS as its runs onAndroid 5.0 Lollipop. Moreover, the Lumia 640 runs on Windows 8.1 and said to receive the Windows 10 update when it rolls out.
Camera-wise, these two devices sport an 8MP shooter on its rear and a superior front snapper of 2MP on the Moto G.
