Vin Diesel Keeps Paul Walker’s Memory Alive Through Newborn Baby! Was The Late Actor ‘There’ For Co-Star’s Daughter’s Birth?

| By

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's very close friendship was no secret. The "Fast And The Furious" co-stars have even referred to each other as brothers in the past.

When Walker died in a fatal car accident in Dec. 2013, Diesel (along with the whole world) mourned for the talented and gold-hearted celebrity.

It's no wonder then that Diesel would want to keep his friend's memory alive, and what better way than to name his newborn daughter after him.

The little girl, born last March 16, was christened "Pauline" after the late actor and philanthropist.

According to the "Furious 7" star, naming his third child with longtime girlfriend Paloma Jimenez after Walker wasn't just because he missed the man. In fact, he believed that his late buddy was with him during his daughter's birth.

"He was in the room," the 47-year-old actor told Today. "There's no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord. I just ... knew he was there."

After all, Walker was the one who encouraged him to cut the umbilical cord of his first offspring Hania Riley. She had been born while they were filming "Fast And The Furious 4."

Diesel also added that naming his youngest after his pal was "a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world."

"He was an important part of my transition into fatherhood...that healthy family member, with the most positive outlook in life..." Diesel wrote in a Facebook post during the anniversary of his death, along with a photo of Walker with Hania Riley.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's friendship was emphasized even more when the father-of-three choked with emotion during the Los Angeles screening of the latter's last movie, "Furious 7."

The said film, according to Diesel, was a homage to the late star, TMZ reported.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's last movie together will be hitting cinemas on April 3.
