Could the trailer and the release date announcement of "Kingdom Hearts 3" finally happen at 2015 D23 Expo in Anaheim in August?
While it hasn't been officially stated, it's expected that the game developers would provide something for the fans during the event.
"At the moment, we have major titles such as Dragon Quest Heroes and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD," Square Enix President Yosuke Matsuda said.
"In 2015, I believe we will offer a vast number of high-end games in both the domestic market and overseas. Now that we've already announced Final Fantasy XV, we will also reveal information on [another] JRPG. I believe we have a bit of a surprise in store for this year."
And while Matsuda did not mention anything about "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date, it's expected that the surprise he's pertaining to is a trailer to the gaming title for PS4 and Xbox One.
However, the recent death of voice actors Leonard Nimoy and Chikao Otsuka are reportedly the cause of delay in finalizing the game's sequel.
Meanwhile, it has been predicted "Kingdom Hearts 3" gameplay for "The Key to Return Hearts" will allow Sora to free Ventus from his own heart.
And while there hasn't been any official announcement about "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date, Amazon already revealed that a pre-order price for Xbox One and PS4 would cost $40.99.
Meanwhile, Tai Yasue, co-creator of the Disney characters RPG, shared his thoughts about speculations surrounding a Marvel and Star Wars characters involvement int he "Kingdom Hearts 3."
"I can't really go into any specifics or say anything about Star Wars, but when we come up with worlds we really want variety and to make sure that there's a lot of different types of worlds," Yasue answered in an interview with Kotaku.
"Any world that looks special is definitely a consideration; everything from the characters, to how they look and the differences between them. We think Star Wars is great but I'm not going to relate that to Kingdom Hearts III yet! We want a wide variety of worlds and when we come up with ideas, it's the differences and the originality of each that's really important," he added in a separate interview with IGN.
